Walk for the Animals is the Roanoke Valley SPCA’s most visible fundraiser that involves the whole family. The walk brings together animal lovers of all backgrounds from all over the Roanoke Valley. The event takes place in downtown Roanoke’s Elmwood Park on October 26, 2008, and will be a “Howl ‘O’ Ween” good time! The walk, approximately 1-mile in length, celebrates the bond between owners and their pets while helping to raise much-needed funds to sustain programs and services the Roanoke Valley SPCA provides not only for the animals of the Roanoke Valley, but its citizens too.
