Pet Hero Awards

The 2017 Pet Hero Awards celebrates the special bond between pets and their humans, while honoring the acts of extraordinary or everyday heroism selflessly performed by our furry (and not so furry) friends. The Roanoke Valley SPCA is searching for Pet Hero nominations! Whether it’s a cat that helped its owner through the loss of a loved one, a bird that alerted its owners to fire danger, a dog that signaled to its owner an oncoming seizure or a dog that searched through devastation of a flood for survivors, honor your pet in the 2017 Pet Hero Awards.

Be sure to check out the official rules.

Pets may be nominated in four difference categories:
Human Service Field – Such as Active Service Pets, Therapy Pets, Guide/Hearing Pets.
Active Duty Working Pet – Such as Current Law Enforcement Dogs, Military Dogs, Search and Rescue Dogs, Arson Dogs.
