Hi friends,

My name is Lil Bit, and I want to share my story with you. You see, I’m not just any cat—I’m a mom. I arrived at the Roanoke Valley SPCA with my five kittens, all named after clouds by my foster family (how cute is that?). They found loving homes pretty quickly, and soon it was my turn to get ready for adoption. But something wasn’t quite right.

Just when I thought I was on my way to finding my forever family, the medical team noticed that my mouth was hurting. a lot. I couldn’t eat, I drooled constantly, and I started losing weight fast. The team at the Roanoke Valley SPCA knew I needed help, so they sent me to the VCA Valley Animal Hospital for further tests. That’s where I learned I had Feline Stomatitis, a painful disease that affects my mouth and gums.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of people like you, I was able to receive the care I needed. I was put on special medication to help ease my pain, and while it took time, I started to feel better. I even began eating again! A few weeks later, I underwent dental surgery to remove five teeth, which was another big step in my healing journey. The caring staff gave me all the TLC I could ever ask for, making sure I was comfortable and cared for each day.

And now, I have some wonderful news—I found my new home! I’m healthy, happy, and so grateful for the love and care I received. It’s all because of you. Your past support helped save me and so many others like me.

But my friends at the Roanoke Valley SPCA still need your help. More cats and dogs are arriving every day— 42% more this year than last to be exact.  And many have stories just like mine. They need you to make a donation today to give them the same chance I had.  Every dollar you give will go directly toward lifesaving medical care, food, and the love we all need to find our loving families.

You made a difference for me. Now, you can do the same for another animal in need. Thank you from the bottom of my heart (and mouth)!

With love and gratitude,

Lil Bit
