Ways to Give
Thank you for investing in the Roanoke Valley SPCA! Your financial support helps us keep saving lives and creating happy, healthy pet families in the Roanoke Valley.
One Time Donation
One time donations can be made easily online or by mailing a check to the Roanoke Valley SPCA at our mailing address at the bottom of the page. When making your donation you can designate it for the care of animals or for the Sara Jane & Mickey Second Chance Fund. This donor designated fund provides medical care for pets that exceed the scope of our clinic. These are things like x-rays, ultrasounds, etc.
Matching Gifts
Many companies support the charitable activities of their employees by generously matching their gifts of time and money. Matching gifts are initiated by filling out a simple form provided by your employer, often found online. If you have questions about your company’s matching gift policy, please check with your human resources, community relations, or charitable giving department. Matching gifts are a great way to double your lifesaving support. You can turn your generous $25 donation into $50, your $100 donation into $200, your $250 donation into $500 and more!
Donations in Honor or Memory of Someone
Donations to honor a milestone, birthday, or any occasion, as well as donations in memory of someone or in lieu of flowers can be made online. There you can designate the donation in memory or honor of someone or a pet. If you provide us with a contact name and address for the honoree or family member of the deceased, we will send a card acknowledging your donation.
Pet Patron
Pet Patrons pledge monthly support for the animals. In return, they receive a sponsor vehicle window cling and our annual report, accounting our success stories. The monthly support of a Pet Patron enables us to provide excellent veterinary and shelter care for every animal until they find their forever home. Pet Patrons are also recognized by a sponsor card on a kennel in our adoption center.
Wish List
We recognize that some individuals prefer to donate items instead of cash. If that is your preference, visit our Wish List. This list details the most needed items in our shelter.
Easy Giving Opportunities
Turn the everyday things you do like shopping at Kroger or Amazon into a donation for the Roanoke Valley SPCA. Or find out if your employer has an employee donation match program.
Non-Traditional Ways to Give
Celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or other events with the animals being the beneficiary. In addition to cash donations, we are always in need of the supplies necessary to care for the animals. Check out our Wish List to see what items are especially needed. Or consider holding a supply or pet food drive for our Pets Eat Too Program, our community pet food pantry.
Bequests, Legacies & Estate Planning
So many of us have been touched by the unconditional love of an animal and want to help guarantee that the Roanoke Valley SPCA will continue to provide food, shelter, and medical care to the homeless and unwanted animals well into the future. There are many ways to create a lasting memorial with a planned gift through your estate. To get started, download our Legacy of Caring brochure or visit our legacy planning page.
