About Blackberry and Hazel

Blackberry and Hazel are sweet, friendly rabbits. They were abandoned by their owners, who moved out and left them behind, so we have been fostering them. They have been trained to pee in their litter box and are in the process of bonding with each other, so they need to be adopted together. They are sponsored by the RVA Street Bunny Society Rescue, which has paid for their health checkups and medical care. They are available to indoor homes only.

Behavioral Concerns: They are still in the process of bonding, so Blackberry occasionally nips Hazel. This should stop once they have successfully bonded. They also leave some fecal pellets scattered around their litter box. Unlike with dogs and cats, their poop is mainly compressed hay, does not smell, and can be easily swept up. Otherwise, they are litter trained. Like all rabbits, they will scatter some of their hay around, so it will need to be swept up too.
Afraid of: Loud noises
Games like to play: Rabbits don't really play games, but they love cardboard boxes to hide in and chew on, and they do well with toys like cardboard toilet paper rolls and Timothy hay chew toys.
If children, ages: No
