In Roman mythology, Venus is the goddess of love, but this Venus is looking to find a love of her own!

Venus arrived at our shelter a few weeks ago from the ASPCA Cruelty Recovery Center in Ohio. She and several other dogs were part of a cruelty case in New Mexico. You can read more about that unfortunate situation here.

Venus was a little nervous when she first arrived at our shelter, but she has quickly opened up. We’ve been able to see her goofy personality, like when she sprawls out on the floor with all four legs stretched out as far as they can go, or when she wiggles all over for attention! Even though this girl has been through tremendous hardships, she is still incredibly loving and sweet — so we want to find Venus her very own Valentine!

You can help us get Venus adopted by sending her Valentine cards to everyone you know! Download and email them along with Venus’s story, or print them out and send your loved ones hand written notes. Anyone interested in meeting this sweet girl can give us a call at 540-339-9247!
